Games Privacy Policy
This policy explains what data Pumpkin VR Tech Co., Ltd. ("we") collects when you play the games we publish, how it is used, who it is shared with, how long it is kept, and the rights you may exercise. It is written under the Taiwan Personal Data Protection Act and also follows the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the requirements of each game platform, including the Meta VR Platform Developer Data Use Policy. Data collected by this website (www.pumpkinvr.com) itself is covered separately by our Privacy Policy.

Scope
This policy applies to all games we publish (the "Games") on the following platforms: Steam, Meta Quest (including the Quest Store and App Lab), SideQuest, and motion-cabinet versions operated at physical venues. The Games covered are listed below; newly released Games are covered automatically.
Data we collect
We collect only what is needed to run the Games, fix problems and support you. It falls into four categories.
- Account data from the platform
- When you launch a Game, the platform (Steam, Meta) provides us, under its own policy, with your platform user ID, display name, avatar, and your purchase or entitlement status for the Game. We never receive your platform password or payment details.
- Device and technical data
- IP address, device and headset model, hardware identifiers, operating system and Game version, language setting, approximate region derived from IP (country/city level), and crash reports and error logs.
- Gameplay data
- Progress, scores, rankings, achievements, matchmaking and match records, in-Game settings, and content you create and choose to share within the Games.
- Data you give us directly
- Your name, email address, platform ID, Discord ID and a description of the issue when you contact us for support; and anything you enter when taking part in surveys, giveaways or promotions.
We do not collect biometric data (such as eye, face or hand data used to identify you). Tracking data generated by the headset to function is processed on the device by the platform and is not sent to us.
Purpose and use
We use the data above only to: run the Games and provide online multiplayer, save your progress and achievements, show leaderboards and matchmaking results, diagnose and fix problems, deliver software updates, answer your support requests, analyse aggregate statistics to improve the Games, and, where you have agreed, tell you about new Games or events. We do not sell your data to anyone and do not use it for advertising unrelated to the Games.
- Game platforms
- Steam (Valve) and Meta process your account, purchase and achievement data under their own privacy policies, which also apply when you use those platforms.
- Service providers
- Providers that host our servers, run online multiplayer, collect crash reports and provide analytics for us. They may process data only on our instructions and for the purposes in this policy.
- Other players
- In multiplayer modes, your display name, avatar, in-Game profile and match statistics are visible to other players. See section 06.
- Legal requirements
- See section 09.
Storage and retention
Data is stored on cloud servers in Taiwan and the United States. When data leaves your country, we apply technical, physical and administrative safeguards to meet cross-border transfer requirements such as those in the GDPR; you acknowledge that your data may be transferred to countries whose protections differ from those where you live.
- Account and gameplay data
- Kept until you ask us to delete it, or until the Game is retired, after which it is deleted within a reasonable period.
- Support records
- Kept for 2 years after our last contact with you, then deleted.
- Crash reports and analytics
- Kept in de-identified or aggregated form that is no longer linked to you.
Children
Our Games are not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. Each platform has its own account age rules (for example, parent-managed accounts on Meta Quest); please follow them. If you are a parent or guardian and believe we have obtained a child's data without consent, contact us and we will delete it promptly.
Your rights
Under the Taiwan Personal Data Protection Act and, if you are in the EU, the GDPR, you may:
- Request access to your data
- Request correction
- Object to or restrict processing
- Request erasure
- Request a portable copy
- Withdraw consent you previously gave
Send requests to the contact in section 10. To protect you, we may first verify your identity. We respond as soon as possible and within the statutory deadline. You can also revoke a Game's access to your platform data directly on the platform (for example, app permissions in your Meta account settings); when the platform notifies us of a deletion, we delete the data linked to that account as well.
Legal disclosure and changes
We may be required to disclose your data where the law, a court order or a regulator requires it. We may revise this policy from time to time; when we do, we update the "Last updated" date on this page, and for material changes we notify you through an in-Game notice or the platform store page. Continuing to use the Games after a revision means you accept the revised policy.
